Well, I'm back...sheesh it's been nearly a week since I posted last! Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes, but that was one monster flu! And, of course after I got it it took out the rest of the family like dominoes! No time for crafting when you are taking care of sickies.
I really wanted to play with the yellow and gray color challenge at Moxie Fab World. It's a combo I never would have thought of, but the results I had seen were so striking! I just barely eeked this baby out in time last night!
This card was totally inspired by a pair of felt baby shoes I found on ETSY. To get the look right, I broke out the sewing machine and some yellow felt and did some serious stitching! The Shoes were actually lined with black and white damask, and I had black and white Damask paper, but I really wanted a true gray. So, I ran the paper through my Xyron putting the adhesive on the pattern side. Then I sprinkled white flocking over the whole thing, which not only made it nice and fuzzy, but also lightened the black to gray!
Supplies: DP: Keiser, Flocking: Fun Flock by Stampendous, Clear Stamps: Inkadoo, Other: Craft Felt, Button thread (it's nice and thick), Button from stash.
