Like Salt and Pepper!

Hope you all had a fabulous fourth! We had a really laid back day, It was HOT here, so swimming was the activity of choice. Then last night we met up with friends and neighbors for a community fireworks display, Chex Mix, caramel corn and fresh cherries! So fun!

OK, now on to the important stuff...a new challenge at Caardvarks! This time over at 'varks we've got a sketch for you! The fabulous folks over at ShortCuts provided us with both a great sketch and some amazing product to use this week. Here is my sketch based card:

Of course I couldn't resist breaking out some of the super fabulous Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line. Who doesn't love that stuff? And speaking of stuff that I love, just check out that uber cool clear card base! These sheets come in clear or frosted from ShortCuts pre-cut and ready to go or in full sheets and they are just the perfect weight for cards! I wanted to play with different levels of sheer, so I started out with a clear card base and then added a bit of polka dot vellum. To that I added that adorable S&P piece (which I couldn't resist adding black and white glitter to to simulate said seasonings) and a couple of chipboard hearts covered in DP. I covered the inside of the card in pale yellow cardstock, including a panel on the front of the inside that served as a border for the S&P and covers my adhesive.
