More ShortCuts Cards!

This will be a short post today. I got stung by a yellow Jacket last night when I was working the yard, right on top my left index finger and it is still swollen an painful. I haven't been stung by one since I was little but I sure don't remember them hurting like this! Anyway, I am one hand typing...not easy.

I also have company coming tomorrow so I might be absent from blogging for a few days (I gotta get busy with the house cleaning :-( *sigh* I have a bathroom to scrub and believe me when I say with 3 little boys and one big one in the house it is NOT my favorite job!

OK...I did say this would be short, so here are the cards!

I used a ShortCuts frosted sheet for this first one.

I cut it down to size, embossed and folded it, then attached the sides with snaps. If you have a Crop-a-dile it works fabulously for punching holes for the snaps in the plastic. I embellished it with MME Bloom & Grow papers and die cuts.

Next up is the ShortCuts Gift Card Folder.

For this I broke out the Cosmo Cricket Early bird, some buttons and ribbon. The stitching is faux btw, I was feeling too lazy to break out my machine. lol!

Remember you have one more day to play along with the current Caardvarks challenge for a chance to win some of your very own ShortCuts Products!

Have a great day and If I don't talk to you before...have a great weekend too!
Heidi

Oh no, Heidi, I am so sorry! Yellow jackets love our house. Last year I had someone come out and spray, there were 9 nests. There is only one right now and it's kind of out of the way, but they are scary looking. I don't like them.
These cards are awesome!!!

Sorry to hear about your hurt finger, I remember the yellow jackets from when we lived in Tucson, strange insects we saw there compared to the insects in Holland.
I like your card and gift card holder. What are the snaps you used?

These are adorable!! I hope your finger feels better. I haven't been stung by a wasp but I seem to get stung by bees all the time because of the gardening. I guess they don't like me!!

Have fun with your company!

These cards are soo darn cheery and cute!! I hope you didn't have to painfully create them with your bum finger :0(. And I have to laugh and say I am soo right there with you when it comes to cleaning bathrooms. Give me a gas mask, hazmat suit and a 10 foot long toilet brush and we'll talk. I have a stock supply of toilet seats in the closet . . . really! Have a great weekend with your friends :0)

Have a great time with your company...

hope your finger feels better! (i haven't been stung much either, but i've found that baking soda + water PASTE applied to the sting usually helps... or something like that. i'd google it or something.)

anyway, i LOVE this card and your gift holder! super sweet :D and i TOTALLY thought that was real stiching... great job fooling me :D

and good luck with the cleaning. i know what you mean. i don't mind cleaning my OWN mess, but someone else's just seems grosser.

have a great weekend!

Gorgeous creations Heidi. So sorry to hear about your finger. I gather a yellow jacket is a kind of wasp? If so, I know exactly how painful a wasp sting can be, much worse than a bee's. Hope your finger gets back to its old self soon.
