Caardvarks June Challenge

As you may know Caardvarks has cut back to one challenge per month for the summer, but we're still gonna bring you somethin' fun with a great sponsor!

This month we're sponored by DRS Designs, who provided some stamps for us to work with. The challenge is to use wet or dry embossing! Cool beans!

Here's what I came up with:

Supplies:
CS: (black) The Paper Co., (white) Georgia-Pacific, Kraft: The Paper Co. Stamp: DRS Designs, Ink: ColorBox, Embossing Powder: American Crafts, Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug, Colored Pencil: Berol Prismacolor, Punch: (photo corner) Martha Stewart, Buttons, twine and fabric from stash

Size: 5.5x4.25"

I decided to go with a masculine theme for this fun duck/bunny birthday test stamp cause we all know we don't call our girlfriends old!! For me anyway, masculine means simple, so I kept this super simple. I dry embossed the kraft background with a Cuttlebug folder and I wet embossed the image, so I got both in on this card.

Next up some birthday brightness.

CS: (white) Georgia-Pacific, (yellow) The Paper Co., DP: DeLovely Collection by Cosmo Cricket, Stamps: DRS Designs, Ink: ColorBox, Embossing Powder: American Crafts, Pens: Sakura Souffle, Vinyl Thickers: American Crafts, Ribbon: Wrights, Border Punch: Fiskars
size: 4.25x5.5"

I used a scalloped oval and present backround stamp for this one. I embossed the present background with white embossing powder and colored them in with my Sakura Souffle pens. I paper pieced one present that I added to the bottom of my green embossed scalloped border. I paired it with some fun bright papers from Cosmo Cricket and a big pink bow.

Head on over to Caardvarks to check out all the challenge deets and play along! Don't forget to take a peek at all the DT eye candy while you're there!

Have a great weekend!
Heidi

the problem with working as beautifully and pristinely as you do missus, is that when someone like me looks at the second card (for example) they are likely to say, "well *WHERE* is the embossing? i see only fancy store-boughten papers here!" :) :) :)

gorgeous cards--i love the duck/bunny one, especially--in which you totally prove that "simple" and "BORING" are completely unrelated concepts! ♥♥♥

(ps: i often think men are a bit simple, too!!! ...oh wait that might not have been your point there...) ;)
