Hi there and welcome to day two of Spellbinders Explore beyond Blog Frenzy!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a part of sharing brand new products from Spellbinders™ Paper Arts with you! This was such an amazing release from Spellbinders™ at Winter CHA 2013 and they have truly lived up to their reputation for creating some of the most innovative crafting tools there are!
One of the products I am most excited about are the new 3D M-Bossabilities™. These incredible new embossing folders don’t just emboss on two levels like other embossing folders, they give a true 3D sculpted impression! Today I get to share one with you!!
I used E3D-004 Basket weave along with the ultra-versatile new die set: S4-392 Framed Tags One to create this sweet little basket gift card holder.

To create this project, you will need to start with a folded piece of gray cardstock. Use the Curved Matting Basics A to die cut a rounded rectangle. Make sure to keep the fold in tact by keeping the cutting edge of the die away from the folded edge. Use a piece of low tack tape to help keep your die in place if necessary.
Once the rectangle is die cut, cut it in half again with scissors or a paper trimmer.
Using the E3D-004 Basket Weave M-Bossabilities folder, emboss the front of your card holder. Again, use a piece of low tack tape to keep your paper from sliding around if you like. Close the embossing folder, place it on top the pink embossing late, top with the raspberry plate and run through the Grand Calibur® machine.
Add adhesive to inside edges of gift card holder, leaving top edge clear to create an opening. Fold closed and press to adhere.
Dry brush embossing to bring out the detail by adding a small amount of acrylic paint to a flat paint brush and lightly swiping it across the surface.
Cut one ½" strip of white cardstock to fit the top of the basket and adhere it with tape runner. Cut two ½ x5 ½" strips of white cardstock, fold them in half and adhere them to top corners of basket with large brads to form the "handles".
Die cut five tags with stitched bottoms from yellow cardstock with the S4-392 Framed Tags One die set. Trim the stitched edge off the bottom of the tags and use to create a scalloped border under the trim at the top edge of the basket. Trim off any bits that hang off the edge.
Ink the circular die from S4-392 Framed Tags One with gray ink, cut and emboss to create a tag with a dark border.
Stamp sentiment on circular tag. I chose to use only a portion of the sentiment that was on my stamp, so I only added ink to one word.
Die cut and emboss rectangle tag from S4-392 Framed Tags One from yellow cardstock. Add small brads to yellow rectangle and sentiment tag, layer and adhere to basket with foam squares.
Finish up with a cheery yellow bow adhered to one of the large brads and fill with your gift!
The possibilities with these products are really endless! Here is a card I created using the same S4-392 Framed Tags One dies and E3D-004 Basket Weave M-Bossabilities folder. This time I used Core’dinations cardstock and sanded it to bring out the texture from the embossing folder and then layered the tags by using one die to cut the center from another. The fun is in playing around to see what YOU can come up with!
